Located on Saint Paul’s culturally diverse Payne Avenue Corridor, this much anticipated café gets its name from the lilac, a member of the olive family.
Upon entering this charming brownstone, you are immediately welcomed by le femme, our retail experience. The room is reminiscent of a European countryside cafe, soft blues and grays, comfortable upholstered seating, golden wood tables with Belgian linens, vintage rugs, and counter seating. The room acoustics will encourage conversation with a small stage in the back offering quiet entertainment a few nights a week.
The dining experience will consist of small plates and shareables with an International influence, many of the ingredients will be sourced from the garden and the our forthcoming Edgerton Urban Farm & Market only a few blocks away. Lilla will also serve unique and eclectic wines, ciders, beers, and sakes from around the globe with sophistication and value in mind.
The adjacent contemporary art gallery will showcase both local & nationally recognized artists and artisans. Works will include paintings, photographs, sculpture, works on paper, ceramics and textiles.
Behind the cafe is the lilac garden, which helped inspire our name and offerings, a secluded santuary with soft music and lighting, fireplace, pizza oven and comfortable table seating.
